Tourist arrival increases
BHAIRAHAWA: Fifty thousand foreign tourists have entered Nepal from Belahiya transit point over the last seven months of this year.
According to the Immigration Office, Belahiya, 54,001 foreign tourists entered the country from this check point from January till July, 2011.This number is nearly 10,000 more than the number of tourists entering the country from this transit point last year.
Chief of the Belahiya Immigration Office, Rajendra Adhikari said some 3,000 tourists entered Nepal from this border check point in the month of July alone. Two thousand and two hundred foreign tourists had arrived from this transit point in July last year.
This tourist arrival figure however does not include the Indian tourists entering Nepal.
