Tourism crisis cell established to rescue Tourists

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) along with Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) together have marked a consent to settle Tourism Crisis Cell (TCC) to coordinate extricate of tourists in case of emergencies and address other tourism related difficulties.
Aside from NTB and HRA, the cell consists of other travel trade associations as well.

Marking a note of understanding, the two organizations also consented to solve all the difficulties bothering the tourism industry.

According to the consent, HRA has been consigned with the duty of operating shuttle bus service from Tribhuvan International Airport to various places in Kathmandu Valley during deprecation, Bandas and other forms of walkouts. Before, NTB used to run shuttle bus service.

HRA, which has been entangled in coordinating saving actions in mountain areas, will setup and work TCC´s secretariat at its office building in Lazimpat. The cell can be communicated round the clock through 4442555 and 9751044088 lines.

Mr. Bikram Neupane, President of HRA, after marking the consent said, “We will amuse calls made at lines round the clock and we will continue to extend our areas of interest in order to safeguard convenient stay for foreign visitors.”

Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), PATA Nepal Chapter and Nepal Association of Tour Operators (NATO) are members of the cell.

Mr. Prachanda Man Shrestha, CEO of NTB said, “The cell would pine with any difficulties that the tourists will witness at any part of the country.

Agents of travel trade union explicated their obligations to endure the effort of the cell.
