We got overwhelming participation from few Australian People as well, they were sitting with us in distribution of Flyers. Hundreds of people were watching us again and again, and appreciated promotion. One of our best moments of Life, promoting Nepal to public staying in foreign land.

The Female climbers also made a performance on effect of climate alternation in Nepal Himalayas, concordant to the report.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) – in coordination with the Embassy of Nepal in Canberra, Australia and Nepal Consulate in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane held a Sales Mission in Australia on 18-21 May. Sales mission took place in Melbourne on May 18, Sydney on May 19 and May 21 in Brisbane, respectively. The main purpose of the sales mission was to promote Nepal in Australia and other added attractions, especially natural and cultural attractions and hiking adventure.
Sales mission also assessed the travel writers in Australia and contractors on the situation of Nepal and how the tourism industry in Nepal has been rejuvenated after the launch of Nepal Tourism Year 2011. The launch of Nepal Tourism Year with the slogan “‘Together for Tourism ” aims to double the number of tourist arrivals to Nepal into million. The total number of tourist arrivals from Australia by air in Nepal during January-April 2010 increased by 10 percent during the same period last year. Nepal team has also made presentations on NTY 2011 and held interaction with the Nepalese community.

World Tourism Organizations has declared the future of tourism in Nepal. It says cultural and rural tourism and nature-based travel in pristine regions of Africa and Asia are going to be the most wanted destinations over the upcoming decades. Here lies the future of tourism industry in Nepal also. Study has shown that the tourists are switching from established areas like the Carribean, Hawaii and the Mediterranean to more interesting destinations like the Indian Ocean and Himalayas of Southeast Asia, among which Nepal could be the best.

In terms of eco-tourism potential, Nepal is blessed with prosperous and diverse vegetations, culture, beautiful and varied landscapes and as such destinations are going to be the top eco-tourism destinations in few years, opportunities abound Nepal for developing eco-tourism products, tour and trekking packages, climbing and expedition packages, adventurous sports, cultural festivals, accommodations, guiding services, transportation and to other indirectly benefited areas too.
Until now, despite the potential, eco-tourism has not developed and the number of eco-tourist arrivals in Nepal has not reached an optimum because priority is still given to tourist destinations which already attract the bigger portions of the market. Despite the challenges, the potential for eco-tourism in Nepal is very minimally realized or still unrealized but, for the time being, in judging the success of eco-tourism, it is the quality impact achieved that is more important than the quantity figures. The situation is going to be changed in the near future, and Nepalese eco-tourism industrialists should always be optimistic on eco-tourism and sustainable tourism. Nepal is going to be the best destination in the world for eco-tourism very soon.

The most anticipated and highly expected Tourism campaign of Nepal, Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011 is set to officially launch on February 26, 2010. With an aim to attract one million tourists, tourism entrepreneurs are urging to celebrate this campaign as “Year of Celebration”.

NTY Secretariat announced the program will formally begin with the illumination of the peace torch brought from Lumbini by Hon Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal at Tundikhel amidst a gala festival along with parades from six different place of the valley. Similar programmes will be organised from East to West — Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Chitwan, Pokhara, Bhairahawa, and Nepalgunj. NTY 2011 programme implementation committee national coordinator Yogendra Shakya, in was hopeful to re-brand Nepal as a peaceful country by making the programme a great success. He added there will be written commitments from all major parties’ leaders. NTY 2011 secretariat has asked people to host national flag at their homes and workplaces from February 19 to mark the programme.

“Nepal will not have an accessibility problem from 2011,” said Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) secretary Nagendra Prasad Ghimire on Wednesday. Speaking at a press meet, Ghimire said that observing the surge of both national and international airlines by 2011 there will be a total of 32 airlines with international flights. According to Ghimire, a number of international airlines are showing interest in operations here. “Spirit of Manila and Oman Air are new applicants while Malaysian Airlines and another Malaysian airlines Air Asia are doing feasibility studies,” he said adding that currently there are 25 international flight operators. MoTCA recently issued a 45 days’ notice to domestic operators to apply for international operations. Airlines that active for five years and with five aircraft are eligible.

Secretary of Ministry of Toursim and Civil Aviation (MoTCA) Narendra Prasad Ghimire states that as there is a total of 25 airlines there wont be any problem of air accessibility and current total seat capacity is 21.5lakh which has reduced the air accessibility problem. Likewise, Khanal of TIA said as TIA is expanding its infrastructure there wont be any congestion.
