Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has indicated the need to introduce new changes and ideas in Tourism Industry in such a way that it will make tourists coming to Nepal feel, “Once is not enough” which is also its main slogan.
Mr. Prachanda Man Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of NTB while addressing a workshop arranged by Soaltee Crowne Plaza on wednesday to mark celebrate service week said, “The hospitality field should embrace new and original methods to greet guests”.
In accordance to Mr. Prachanda, 65% of the outgoing foreigners interviewed by NTB said they were “very satisfied” with Nepal’s reception while the rest said they were “satisfied”.
He said, “Nepal is missing Indian tourists because of competitive marketing tactics embraced by Malaysia, Thailand and Sri Lanka. So, both the public and private field should make joint attempts to boost the country’s tourism.”
Finally he added, “Making Nepal Tourism Year (NTY) 2011 a success will not be a tough mission if all the concerned agencies work jointly.”
