Secretary-level representatives of the two countries inked an agreement to this effect in New Delhi on Wednesday. “The agreement is a great achievement,” Nagendra Ghimire, Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, said, adding, “The new agreement will be instrumental in the success of Nepal Tourism Year-2011.”
According to the new agreement Nepal also got increased air traffic rights from seven destinations to twenty eight. In addition, now Nepal can pick up passengers from intermediate points and complete their flights.
