Former Crown Prince on Palace Massacre

After long silence, former Crown Prince Paras Shah revealed that the palace massacre happened not only because of love but also because of the thwarted arms deal. In an exclusive interview to Singapore’s tabloid paper he stated three reasons why massacre happened, which wiped out 10 members of Royal family, including then King Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev.
The three reasons he mentioned are as follows:
- Thwarted Love
- Disagreement with King’s decision to leave active Monarchy role in 1990
- Thwarted arms deal
Interview came soon after present Maoist led government hinted to reopen the investigation of the Palace massacre. Former Crown Prince Paras who is currently residing in Singapore articulated that people should know the ugly truth and clear out persistent rumors of his involvement in the incident.
