Cultural and Food Festival of Nepal concluded in Sri Lanka

Cultural and Food Festival of Nepal has been concluded in Sri Lanka. The Festival turned out to be a big success. It was held on June 27, 2010 and it was a 10 day long festival.
The festival was organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Sri Lanka, in association with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka Mr. Sushil Chandra Amatya had shed light on various aspects of food habits and food items as well as culture, music and crafts of Nepal on the occasion.
He expressed that the event would draw Sri Lankan people closer to Nepal and increase their interest to visit Nepal in the future.
The participants were entertained with various Nepali cultural performances and Nepali artists attracted the guests with their distinct Nepali tone throughout the event.
Mr. Amatya appreciated and encouraged the organizers to continue promoting Nepal abroad aiming at Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NTY-2011).
The festival was attended by various numbers of guests including nearly 300 special guests of the Embassy.
Some special guests of the Embassy were leaders of business community, tourism professionals, social and political personalities and senior government officials of Sri Lanka as well as ambassadors, high commissioners and other senior diplomats based in Colombo.
