Another Film on Mt. Everest

Shekhar Kapoor a famous Indian director is going to direct a film on Mt. Everest. Famous Hollywood Star Julia Roberts along with Kevin Townsend, Philip Rose and Lisa Gillan of Red Om Films is joining him as producer.
Kevin Townsend is co-writing the script, with the writing team of Matthew Faulk and Mark Skeet.
The film is about a famous English explorer George Mallory’s attempt to scale Mount Everest and how he got disappeared in 1924 while climbing, just 800 feet from the summit.
The film will be set in post-World War I England and will focus on Mallory’s obsession with Mount Everest and how it affected his marriage.
Shekhar Kapoor, the famous Indian Director is known for his internationally acclaimed biopics such as ‘Bandit Queen’, ‘Elizabeth’ and ‘Elizabeth: the Golden Age’.
